ISS designed and built a new, innovative LED version of the Integral Cab Beacon in response to a request from North East Lincolnshire Borough Council, who wanted to convert their new fleet of vehicles entirely to LED. The new beacon is easier to fit, more robust, and a more effective safety device than traditional cab beacons.

Gavin Thoday explains:
“We offer a wide range of LED high intensity warning lights, but there were no LED alternatives to replace the traditional revolving beacon that sits on each side of the cab. We set about developing a product that would offer enhanced safety features and longevity, but it had to be easy to fit. Our new bracket design means that the beacon can easily be fitted to new trucks or retrospectively, and when combined with our rear lighting package, it offers 360 degree visibility around the vehicle. We are delighted to be able to offer this innovative piece of equipment to our customers.”

North East Lincolnshire Borough Council has chosen a full range of vehicle safety equipment from ISS for its new vehicles, including reversing radar, Hard Disk Recording and a complete LED lighting package.

Chris Dunn, Waste & Fleet Operations Manager: “We wanted our new trucks to carry the latest safety equipment, and we recognised the superiority of LED lighting above traditional bulbs, not just in terms of enhanced safety but also reduced maintenance and vehicle down time. We have been so impressed by ISS’s professionalism and ‘can do’ attitude, and we are proud to be the first to showcase their new cab beacon.”
